The Fire Safe Council offers no-cost consultations to create a more fire-prepared property​.

​Home visits are conducted by trained Fire Safe Council staff and volunteer Plumas County residents. These consultations are considered “Peer-to-Peer” to uphold a spirit of open, fire-safe communication between Plumas residents; in no way is this program meant to “inspect” or “assess” homes. 

Resident Report

​After a home visit, residents will have private access to an online, interactive report tailored to their property. The report is designed to help residents understand potential fire hazards and offer resources accordingly. 

Reports include a map of exact points on a property that can be improved with supporting pictures. Residents can "check-off" each potential improvement as they work to reduce risk on their property. ​

​​The resident report is completely confidential, and will never be shared with any third parties. Reports consist only of recommendations, so action from landowners is never enforced or required. ​​
