Brad Graevs has taken on multiple wildfire risk reduction initiatives since arriving in Plumas County. Notably he has been a key organizer of the Plumas Underburn Cooperative, which was developed with a grant that he secured through the Resource Conservation District. In this role Brad has acted as a burn boss, written burn plans, assisted with workshops, and been the Operations Section Chief for Plumas TREX prescribed fire training events. He shows up for all PUC events with his sense of humor and a willingness to get the job done.
In addition, Brad has worked closely with the Fire Safe Council to develop projects, find solutions to complex land management issues, and assist with the hurdle of environmental compliance. His passion for conservation is likely related to his love of fly fishing, birding, and family camping trips.
