Investment Hour Tracking Tool

The work you do around your home counts.

Clearing pine needles, creating defensible space, improving your home, helping with a community cleanup - it all adds up.

If you live in a recognized Firewise USA® community in Plumas County, the time and money you spend reducing wildfire risk can count toward your community's annual Firewise investment.

Reporting it only takes a few minutes.

Why Track Your Investment?
Firewise USA® communities are built on Neighbors Helping Neighbors — and part of maintaining recognition is showing the work residents are doing each year.

When you report your work, it helps your Firewise Lead capture the full community effort, not just organized projects and cleanup days.

Your everyday work matters, too.

What Counts?
You may already be doing work that qualifies:
  • Defensible space and vegetation removal
  • Pine needle and leaf cleanup
  • Pruning and limbing
  • Home hardening improvements
  • Community cleanup projects
  • Firewise meetings and outreach
  • Contractor expenses and qualifying materials

Volunteer time has value, too.
For Firewise reporting purposes, volunteer hours are calculated using the current nationally recognized volunteer hourly rate.
