Funding Update: California Fire Foundation Grant

Plumas Fire Safe has received a $16,000 grant from the California Fire Foundation’s Wildfire Safety and Preparedness Program.

The funding is anticipated to be used in 2027 to support the PCFSC Chipping Program, helping Plumas County residents with vegetation mitigation and fuels reduction.

The California Fire Foundation works with funding partners across the state to provide grants to local fire departments, firefighter associations, fire safe councils, and other community-based organizations. These grants help communities address local wildfire safety and preparedness needs.
