Whether it's helping a neighbor, creating defensible space, organizing a cleanup, or leading a Firewise project, your actions help build a stronger, more wildfire-resilient Plumas County.
The Plumas County Fire Safe Council Recognition Program celebrates the people, businesses, and communities leading by example.
Anyone making a difference in wildfire preparedness, including:
- Individuals
- Businesses
- Firewise Communities & neighborhoods
- Community organizations
- Youth & student groups
Anyone may be nominated, and any Plumas County resident can submit a nomination.
We're looking for people, businesses, and communities taking action to build a more wildfire-resilient Plumas County.
Examples include:
- Creating defensible space or hardening a home
- Helping a neighbor or organizing a community project
- Participating in TREX, Firewise, or other wildfire preparedness events
- Completing wildfire training or earning certifications
- Sharing knowledge through education and outreach
- Volunteering time, equipment, or expertise
- Finding new ways to strengthen wildfire resilience
Big or small—every action matters.
Recipients receive a Certificate of Recognition at a PCFSC meeting, and their story may be shared through our website, newsletter, social media, and local media to inspire others.
