Johnnie joined the Plumas County Fire Safe Council in April 2026 with an interest in forest health, fire ecology, and stewarding the land which he calls home. He has a B.S. in Ecosystem Restoration and Applied Fire Management and A.S. in Environmental Studies from Feather River College in Quincy, CA.

Having grown up in Quincy and being inspired by PUC coordinators and prescribed fire practitioners before him, he is excited to get to work within the community and assist in making Plumas County ecologically sound and wildfire resilient. Outside of work, Johnnie spends his time exploring various ecosystems and staring at trees.
