Landowners and land managers are invited to join the USDA Natural Resources Conservation Service (NRCS), Feather River Resource Conservation District, and Plumas County Fire Safe Council for a Local Work Group Meeting focused on conservation and fire preparedness.

What to expect:

  • Learn about conservation and wildfire preparedness programs available to landowners and land managers
  • Share local natural resource concerns and priorities
  • Connect with NRCS and local conservation partners

NRCS programs may include:

  • Environmental Quality Incentives Program (EQIP)
    Provides technical and financial assistance for conservation practices on working lands, including farms, ranches, rangelands, and non-industrial private forest land
  • Conservation Stewardship Program (CSP)
    Helps producers build on existing conservation efforts and take additional steps to improve natural resources
