COMMUNITY CHIPPING DAY – PORTOLA
The Plumas County Fire Safe Council in partnership with the Northern Sierra Air Quality Management District and the City of Portola, is hosting a community chipping day for Portola-area residents. Bring your woody material to (a name the location and address) , and our crew will chip it on site, at no cost to residents.
ACCEPTED MATERIALS
- Natural woody vegetation only
- Branches 3–12 feet in length - Up to 8 inches in diameter
- Maximum: 16 linear feet - Stacked no higher than 4 feet, per load
NOT ACCEPTED
- Pine needles (loose)
- Leaves or yard debris
- Vines or shrubs
- Lumber or construction materials
- Metal, garbage, or dirt
IMPORTANT NOTES
- First-come, first-serve
- It is your personal responsibility to offload your chipping material
- Follow all required guidance given by staff and operators - service may be refused based on non-compliance
